JULY
The Big Story
As fans continued to wait and see if KEVIN COSTNER would return for the final season of “Yellowstone,” he spent his time trying to get his estranged wife, CHRISTINE BAUMGARTNER, out of their marital home. She filed for divorce in May, and according to their prenup, had 30 days to vacate the home. After repeatedly refusing to leave, Costner decided to ask that a court enforce the legal doc and she was ordered to be out by July 31.
Another point of contention in their split was monthly child support. He offered $52,000, while she asked for $248,000; a judge settled on $130,000 a month. That same judge also ruled that Baumgartner had to get Costner’s permission before removing items from their home, except for things such as her clothing and other personal belongings.
Just days before the July 31 deadline, Baumgartner was spotted moving things into several U-Hauls, which didn’t have to travel too far, as she moved into a smaller guest home on the same property. Baumgartner wouldn’t stay there long, though. Just a week or two later she moved again, this time into a rental about 10 minutes away. By mid-September, cooler heads would prevail and the two agreed to a settlement; making them officially divorced.
MEANWHILE: Still no word on whether or not Coster will continue John Dutton’s story in the second half of Season 5 of “Yellowstone,” which is set to premiere on November 13. In the meantime, his Western drama, “Horizon: An American Saga” has wrapped and will debut in four parts, with Part 1 hitting theaters on June 28.
