The American experiment has endured for nearly two and a half centuries and by the Grace of God it’ll last at least that much longer.
In a global context, that we get to bicker and poke at each other’s politics and beliefs is itself a rare gift, one we must not squander. Let today be an opportunity for gratitude.
Let’s also celebrate a rare moment of shameless unity in the love for the freedom that allows us to spend the day with friends and family, eat great food, enjoy great summer weather, and blow some minds with kickass fireworks, whether at a massive community park, over a lake, or launched in your driveway while the kids go bananas.
