A Wisconsin man who used a forklift to rescue his pickup from a ditch on Monday night has been charged with his fifth OWI.
Officers were dispatched to a ditch in the town of Clinton late Monday night after multiple reports of a white pickup truck being stuck.
When officers arrived on scene, they spotted the truck, along with a man who appeared to be asleep in a nearby forklift. They were quickly able to determine that the man had crashed the truck and used the forklift to try and free it.
The man has been identified as 62-year-old Vernon R. Schmuck.

More details about the dramatic capture of escaped inmate Casey Cole White and former jail boss Vicky White (no relation) have emerged.
According to a spokesperson with the US Marshal’s Service, the pair were stocked with cash, wigs and a small arsenal and planned to have a shootout with police when they were nabbed on Monday after 11 days on the run.
As previously reported, the couple were rundown by authors in Evansville, Indiana. Casey was arrested and Vicky was transported to a local hospital where she later died from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Andy Warhol’s 1964 silk-screen of Marilyn Monroe sold for $195 million at Christie’s auction in New York last week.
The painting is one of five Warhol created that year.
The sale set a new record, beating previous record holder Brooklyn artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, whose skull painting sold for $110 in 2017.
WORTH NOTING: Jean and Andy collaborated on several hundred paintings.

David Bonola, the man accused of killing Queens mom Orsolya Gaal, claims he did it because he believed she had given him HIV.
He told detectives that Gaal “lied” to him and “cheated” on him during their two-year affair. “It made me angry. I couldn’t accept it,” Bonola continued.
The married father-of-two, who came to the US illegally from Mexico 21 years ago, has been charged with murder after following Gaal home on April 16 and stabbing her multiple times. After shoving her body into her son’s duffel bag, Bonola left the bag about a mile from Gaal’s home.
He was arrested on April 21.

Retail outlets have seen a 30% drop in the availability of some popular brands, due to supply chain issues, labor shortages, inflation and the closure of a Michigan plant after a recall on their product.

DEATHS
JAMES OLSON has died.
The actor, known for his role in “Rachel, Rachel,” passed away on April 17 at his home in Malibu. A cause of death was not shared.
He was 91.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS, 41, is pregnant with her third child.
The actress revealed the news Tuesday, telling Variety that she is “totally joyous.”
The child will be her second with husband, director THOMAS KAIL, 44. They are already parents to son, Hart, 2, while Williams is mom to daughter Matilda, 16, from her relationship with the late actor HEATH LEDGER.

Social media star FRANKIE GRANDE, 39, married HALE LEON, 29, in a “Star Wars”-themed wedding on May 4th.
Grande, whose mother JOAN GRANDE officiated the ceremony, announced the news on Instagram Tuesday.

MARIO BATALI was cleared Tuesday of charges that he groped a woman at a Boston bar in 2017.
A Boston judge found the famous chef not guilty of indecent battery and assault after a criminal trial that lasted less than two days.
The judge explained that while Batali may not have “been on his best behavior” that evening, “the case is about credibility” and [the victim] has “significant credibility issues.”
Four other women accused the chef of inappropriate touching in 2017, forcing him to step down from TV roles and leave his restaurant empire.

KIM is reportedly looking into fertility options in light of her relationship with kid-less PETE DAVIDSON.
Insiders told The Mirror that the mom-of-four has changed her mind about a fifth baby and “wants to have [one] with Pete.”

1947 – The BF Goodrich company reveals it has developed the tubeless tire. The innovation would make cars safer and run smoother.
Previously, tires were composed of rubber rings that sat along a tube of compressed air. These tires often blew out, causing drivers to lose control of their vehicles.
Goodrich's invention allowed the air to sit within the ring of rubber itself, creating the infrastructure for the modern-day tire.
