ELON MUSK has sold X – sort of.
Musk announced on Friday that his artificial intelligence company xAI purchased X in an all-stock deal that values the social media platform at $33 BILLION.
Musk said – on X, of course – that combining the companies “will unlock immense potential by blending xAI’s advanced AI capability and expertise with X’s massive reach,” adding, “The combined company will deliver smarter, more meaningful experiences to billions of people while staying true to our core mission of seeking truth and advancing knowledge.” [via Elon Musk]

COLD CIVIL WAR: On Saturday, protestors around the world gathered at TESLA dealerships to protest Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration.
In some instances, counter-protestors showed up in an attempt to drown out the anti-Elon Resistance Dorks, as was the case in Idaho. One of these counterprotestors, an unidentified 49-year-old man, says one of the anti-Elon protestors hit him with his car.
The suspect, 70-year-old Christopher Talbot, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The victim sustained minor injuries and was able to drive himself to the hospital. [via ABC News]
GO FIGURE: Talbot was booked into Ada County Jail – the same place where alleged killer Bryan Kohberger is calling home for the duration of his trial.

Actor RANDALL PARK says panic attacks caused him to quit social media for good in October 2020.
“I was on social media for a while, and then during the pandemic, it was such a scary time,” he recalls. “Also, there was an election going on during that time. It was just so much chaos, and negativity just in the air, but also specifically online, a lot of confusion and vitriol.”
Initially planning to just take a brief hiatus, Park says that he quickly realized being offline was “so great” and made the decision to “stay off.”
He does miss connecting with people “from other chapters” of his life, however. [via The News]

Actor JOEY LAWRENCE says he -- and his brothers, MATTHEW and ANDREW -- regret changing their last name when they became child stars in the ‘90s.
The brothers changed their legal surname of Migogna to Lawrence, which was Joey’s middle name after being told “no one can pronounce Mignogna. That’s not a name people will say.”
Now, the trio says that having two last names is a “pain in the butt” as they have to “prove” they are both people.
Had they joined the industry today, Joey says they likely wouldn’t have had to change their name, adding, “Today, things like that are celebrated.” [via EW]

RYAN REYNOLDS is under fire for allowing his then-7-year-old daughter INEZ to have a filthy line in “Deadpool & Wolverine.”
In the superhero film, Inez’s character, Kidpool, tells her dad’s character, Deadpool, “Hey, when I want your opinion, I’ll take Wolverine’s [genitals] out of your mouth.”
MAKING MATTERS WORSE: In a previous interview, director SHAWN LEVY stated that Inez had to do “70 to 500 versions of that line” during filming.
AND: This was after Reynolds admitted Inez stated she didn’t feel comfortable saying the line.
SO?: Explain again how Reynolds and his wife, BLAKE LIVELY, are in a place to say that her “It Ends With Us” co-star JUSTIN BALDONI was allegedly being “too sexual” with her on set? [via Page Six]
