The two astronauts who have spent nine months on the International Space Station will be back home next week if all goes to plan.
SUNI WILLIAMS and BUTCH WILMORE will return on board a SpaceX crew capsule on Sunday. They’ll spend the time in between getting the relief crew up to speed on projects and operations. [via Yahoo News]
WORTH REMEMBERING: Williams and Wilmore piloted a BOEING Starliner crew capsule last year in what was supposed to be just an eight-day mission. Out of an abundance of caution, mission officials opted to not use the Starliner to return to Earth over concerns about the ship’s thrusters.
MEANWHILE: Former astronaut Clayton Anderson tells the New York Post he believes the Biden administration chose to delay a rescue mission out of fears a failure would further tank their party’s election chances last November.

TALES OF TWO GUNS
TALE ONE: A wheelchair-bound man in Detroit says he was trying to kill a cockroach with a shoe he picked up off the floor. When he tossed the sneaker at the bug, a revolver he had hidden inside it fell out and misfired, hitting the man in the foot. He is in stable condition after a hospital visit. No word on whether he killed the cockroach. [via MyNBC15]
TALE TWO: A 19-year-old Wisconsin man will spend three years in prison for shooting at two teenagers who were egging his house last May. He’ll also spend eight years in extended supervision. One of the culprits was hit by a bullet but recovered.

“Ghost Adventures” star AARON GOODWIN’s wife was arrested last week after allegedly trying to hire a hitman to off him.
VICTORIA GOODWIN reportedly spoke to a person incarcerated in a Florida prison about her plan, giving him information such as her husband’s filming schedule, and made an offer of $11,000 to whomever takes the hit. The info was discovered by a correctional officer at the prison who confiscated the inmate’s contraband cell phone.
This all happened last October, and luckily for Aaron, was not successful.
Now, Victoria faces two charges in connection to the murder-for-hire plot -- solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. She is currently being held on a $100,000 bail. [via TMZ]
